Originally scheduled for broadcast on Saturday, July 12, this episode of Big Al’s Rockin’ Radio Show had to be postponed at the last minute to July 19. In this episode, I played rock and pop classics from the 1980s. i played some great songs from Huey Lewis and the News, Bryan Adams, Hall and Oates, Duran Duran, the Eurythmics, Stevie Nicks, Phil Collins, Loverboy, The Cars, and so much more.
I launched a new show theme series called “Every Band’s a Cover Band” in this episode. Since this theme idea has infinite options, this episode is Volume 01. I digitally spin a song by an artist and follow it with a song by that artist but covered by someone else.
This week I played over two and a half hours of random rock and pop songs from the 80s. Some are classic tunes while others are classically cheesy. You’re sure to enjoy Volume One of my “Rockin’ the 80s” series.
This week I played songs by the original artists that Metallica covered. If you’re a fan of Garage Days and Garage, Inc., you’ll surely enjoy this show.
